Upcycling an old lampshade!

Some might call it stingy, others might call it tight, but I am loathed to throw anything away! I am also a sucker for a freebie so when lovely neighbour was having a clear out, I couldn't resist snaffling a few bits and pieces.

This old lampshade didn't fit in with any of my colour schemes but as I had some old leftover paint, I thought, why not give it a new lease of life! Such a simple idea, can also be done with decoupage or anything really! Why not give it a try rather than throwing out an old one or buying new?!
